We provide superfast Icnos wireless connectivity for businesses. It can be used to provide high-speed internet access or it can create point-to-point links to any number of sites in our coverage area for multi-site businesses.
Icnos equipment can provide your business with internet connectivity from 10Mb/sec up to 2Gb/sec, which means you can transfer as much data as you need to. Icnos uploads as fast as it downloads so it’s great for sending large files, VOIP, streaming, mail servers, web servers or any other service that needs high-speed uploads.
Icnos has been designed using the latest radio, millimetre and microwave technology. It doesn’t use traditional copper wire or fibre to deliver service, and unlike the products of almost all other leased line and broadband providers, it has no reliance on BT infrastructure. At its core, Icnos is provided from our Sheffield datacentre where we have diverse fibre connections into London and Manchester, ensuring that there’s no single point of failure. This means our customers are not affected by physical issues such as fibre or telephone line faults, or even if the local BT telephone exchange goes down. You’re guaranteed continuity of service that no other provider can offer.
Bad weather? No problem! A major advantage of the Icnos network is the number and close proximity of our transmission sites as well as the technology we use. Our network infrastructure has been designed on the premise that no client will be more than two miles away from a transmission hub, but most of our customers are much closer than this. We work closely with equipment manufacturers to ensure our service is available in even the most extreme weather. This has been tested over several years and ensures that the potential effect of any atmospheric influences are fully minimised; as a result we can offer up to a 99.99% uptime service level agreement.
Just get in touch and we’ll guide you through the process. Our current clients include:
Our service is encrypted using the latest technology, and if you move premises the circuit can move with you. The speed you sign up to can be easily increased in the future as your requirements change, often without even having to come to your premises
Our network is fully symmetrical with true 1:1 contention. You’ll have a dedicated connection where you can upload and download at the same speeds and won’t experience slow downs, even at busy times
Fast and low cost installation usually within 15 working days. Unlike conventional leased lines our installation prices are fixed with no excess construction charges.
Genuinely unlimited data transfer. No hidden charges or caps even for the heaviest users
Making our circuits great for VOIP telephone calls, video conferencing and gaming
Guaranteed data speed, available from 10Mb/sec to 2Gb/sec. Many of our products are burstable, meaning you could access faster uncapped speeds whilst only paying for the speed you signed up for
Up to 99.99% uptime service level agreement with a 4 hour response guarantee
Our network is 100% independent, meaning we own our network end-to-end and aren’t dependent on any third party or exchange
As a Local Internet Registry (LIR) we have large assignments of our own IP addresses that we assign to our customers. This means that even if we change how we connect to the internet, we’ll never have to change the IP addresses we’ve assigned to you
We are ISPA members which means we work to the high standards required by the UK Internet Service Providers Association
If you’d asked me if I’d consider a wireless leased line a few months ago, I’d have been very cautious. The Icnos system is incredible with up to 200mb speeds available and the prices are extremely competitive. Choosing Idaq has made our temporary decamp to the alternative premises very much less painful than it otherwise might have been.
When Idaq Networks first approached THS Tools Group in January 2015, our internet speed at that time was very poor and we were looking to vastly improve this but without the excessive costs involved for a traditional leased line. We had already unsuccessfully tested a wireless solution with a different provide, which had proved to be unreliable and as such we were very reluctant to try this again.
However after reassurances from Idaq Networks and speaking to some of their current customers, we decided to give it a try and went live with them in March 2016. This has proven to be a commercially wise decision as we now have a much faster and to date reliable, in all weathers, solution at a fraction of the cost of a leased line.
